The movie and the book did have some things in common. But not much. Now most of the from the book were in the characters. Also daisy did have a crippled leg. There was a whiskey still. There was a train wreck also.  Of course, grandpa had his store. Jay Berry was selfless and paid Daisy for her operation. Which was great.

Now there are lots of differences between the movie and the book. Like how there are four monkeys, and the leader was named Henry instead of Jimbo. The mother's name was different. There were more characters, and Jay only wanted a pony.

My suggestions for the book is nothing, I find the book perfect as it is. Now for the movie, It needs a lot of changes. First of the leader of the monkeys name should have been Jimbo, not henry. Second, Toby and his friends should not of been in the movie. Third, Jay Berry should have wanted the pony and the gun. Fourth, Jay should have gotten 156 dollars at the end. Fifth, They should have shown what happened when mom and Daisy were gone. Finally, It should just follow the book better.
